Week 2 - Day 2-5
Day 2-3 was all based around being trained by Phil in HTML and CSS, it was loads of fun learning how to create a new webpage. it was interesting as Phil was going in depth on what each code does, what you can do and to be able to create it ourselves again, rather than copying the code from a sheet was so useful.
Day 4 - we spent the day alone and testing and recreating our webpage to how we want it, i've attached a few screenshots of my finished product.
Day 5 - in the morning we went through binary code with Sid, it was quite confusing to grasp at first but more understandable now that he's explained it well using his examples and making us come up and solve a question adding/taking away binary codes.
The second part of the day we was uploading our evidence to skilsure and also doing a stereotype test of drawing what job role goes with what kind of person e.g a doctor always being a male etc, we also done a survey to test to see how we treat other people regarding certain scenarios. i believe one of the questions could of been written better due to it not making clear sense.
I've attached a link to my survey of my stereotype survey.
That concludes the week, it was alot of fun coming down again, till the next time :)

Week 2 - Part 1
Week 2 - Day 1
Personal Development
Today we’ve done a few activities today understand more on
the type of person we are going through our strengths and weaknesses.
Firstly today we started the day with a survey questionnaire
to describe the type of animal we'd be and my one was an eagle, a leader whose imaginative and have creative problem solving skills. i personally think my results described me quite well as a person. I've attached a link https://icould.com/buzz/eagle/.
Later on we created a training needs analysis on what we needed to do within our work place and all our different styles such as communication, learning, personal qualities, our strengths and weaknesses, our career aspirations and what training we would like to complete
As the day progressed we went through an article regarding the word of the year, this led us to having a debate weather we believed it to be true or not which majority of us disagreed "Fake News" being word of the year and we created our own list of words that have been used frequently this year and made our own twitter posts regarding our words of the year, the more you had the more points your get so my one was "Sesh at work, with the pengtings it's litt fam time to dab on these haters, rahh james getting pied as always #bants"this expressed our individualizes on how we talk and how up to date we our with today's younger society. personally i think some of the new words such as "ganggang" is a joke and abit too difficult to keep with, but that's today's modern world.
Last part of the day we did some more training on HTML on Codecademy and filled out forms.

Day 2 - Induction
Day 2 - Induction
Task 1
First part of our day, we was going through article in the morning about mircro chipping employees and all the pros and cons on security. we discussed what the microchip could leak out information even though it didn't have a GPS tracker it could tracker places where you've tapped in/out what you've bought and where you've bought it. in a way i personally believed it's a big step in future technology however an invasion of privacy.Task 2
we discussed our future careers and what we all wanted to do for our future, discussing our drives, passions and how we was to progress. This led us onto looking into things such as the pension scheme. when we wish to retire, when and how much would we need to put in to retire at an earlier age. to think about something this early is quite daunting especially living in london where living standards are already exceptionally high as they are.
Task 3
This is where we was told to google ourselves and find out as much information as we could about ourselves on the internet to see what kind of information comes up. surprisingly all that showed was my LinkedIn profile and that was all. all that shows is where i'm currently working. everything else such as my Facebook, twitter , YouTube is all private. i don't typically have anything that would haunt me during job interviews if an employer wished to search me me up however it's all good to know you're safe.Task 4
This is where we learnt about our flaws and wanted to be able to improve them by doing a personality test, and naming many traits of people we look up to. all the qualities we look into for people about being respectable, hardworking is all something you need to work on for yourself and not anyone else. The personality test showed us the type of person we are and looked at a few things that we could change to help improve our bad habits. e.g stressing by listening to alpha waves, forgetting good ideas by always carrying a notebook etc. However we all had the same thing in common which was confidence and that could be improved with time and putting us in front of groups of audiences where we're not comfortable with.
Final Task
This is what i personally found most interesting where ewan finally took us through some basic HTML scripting. We started to create a very basic webpage from notepad. this took alot to grasp and alot of trial and error to finally get a few of the the basic things workings.

Day 1 - Induction
Day 1 - Induction
Task 1
First part of our day, we was going through all the rules and regulations of the workplace. Ewan was briefly explaining all the different types of procedures such as ERR and safeguarding.Task 2
Later on we had our first team building exercise of thinking of a variety of different forms of transportations from basic things such as walking to thinking of other methods such as traveling via data/ flying.Task 3
Our next task was to create an island which we called paradise island to learn about our survivability skills and have a democracy within our team. being able to work with one another to reach an island that we would all be happy with and able to survive on. after creating our island perfectly we was faced with a challenge of accepting 8 new people (passports) into our island. after going through a list of 16 different types of people we learnt that we chose people who we thought would be useful and best fitted in our society whilst being useful. what we didn't know that the task was to show us that we've all been very judgement of the people we was taking in and the only way to not be judgemental was to just initially take the first 8 people.Task 4
After completion of paradise island we was going through the definition and what the word radicalisation meant to us, for the other team they had extremists. we created flow diagrams and wrote small definitions of what both words meant to us and how similar they was.

Task 5
On this task we had to understand the concept of safeguarding and what that meant to us, which is about someone's welfare and wellbeing. we created a chart on safeguarding inside and outside of work. see pictures below.

Task 6
This is where it got interesting for me personally as we played a game on stereotyping people, their influences and our perception of them. it was more than scary to think about how many different perceptions on people you can actually have over the smallest of things such as weight, features and more. I found It quite intriguing. Ewan named something for example a homeless person and we all had to draw our perception of what they look like, and what we think off them.
Final Task
As our final exercise for the day we had to create our own alien and describe basic things about him such as name, where he's from, why he's on earth and that lead us to the question which is, what makes us human.
I personally believe that us being human is our ability to make mistakes and overcome them and progress through to the future whilst also being adaptive to what's thrown at us. each and every person may look different coming in all shapes and sizes whilst also having different experiences however internally we are all the same and that's what makes us human.
